Hi, my name is Chelsea
Chelsea is an emerging artist that practices on Gadigal and Wallumedegal lands. Her work is centred on human ruins, often featuring abandoned architecture. Through photography and performance art, her work explores gender, the built environment and capitalism, reflecting on the rapid cycles of urban decay and reconstruction, drawing connections to humanity’s futile search for utopia.

I acknowledge the Wallumedegal Clan of the Darug Nation, and the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation; the traditional custodians of the earth I live and work on, and pay my respects to Elders of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Sovereignty has never been ceded, and this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.
